First off a big THANK YOU to our relatives, friends and neighbors who have lent, handed-down or traded maternity and baby items with our family.  In my opinion, this is one of the BEST ways to reuse clothes for babies and pregnancy!

Several of my girlfriends lent me some great maternity clothes during each of my three pregnancies.  It was so nice to have a variety of options that didn’t hit our wallets so hard.  When I was done with each pregnancy I gladly offered them to other pregnant friends.

Some of our other friends and family members were done having children by the time our “grand finale baby” was arriving so it was perfect and we can pass it on to a deserving family.  So before your bundle of joy arrives, consider talking to friends and family about an “exchange” program to reuse clothes.

Do you have a network to reuse clothes during the pregnancy and infant years? Other tips to save the planet and/or your wallet?
